book: Lampedusa. Bildgeschichten vom Rande Europas
„Images are just as much in motion as people. In a globalized world they can move faster and more freely than humans.”
Lampedusa. Bildgeschichten vom Rande Europas is a book about the production and circulation of images about Lampedusa, an island that became a focal point of attention in European media around the year 2010 due to the influx of migrants and refugees.
The research of the Migrant Images Research Group combines photographs by press agencies, migrants, NGOs and locals with interviews and drawn reports.
My contribution to the book is a 14 page story, „Ways of a commodity“, written by Anne König.
